DO'S AND DON'T.

Updated: 4 days ago

Our hair routine it plays an important part of a healthy, shine and in great condition hair. here a few tips that can make a big different.

DO’S

• Detangle your hair by brushing from the bottom and moving your way up to avoid breakage.

• Use a satin pillowcase or satin sleeping cap for less friction which creates unwanted frizz.

• While washing your hair massage your scalp gently in a circular motion followed by running your fingers through the rest of your hair.

• For medium to long lengths braid before sleeping to avoid tangles.

• Use satin scrunchies or fabric hair ties to avoid breakage from tight up styles.

• Apply heat protector or wear a hat to avoid scalp and hair sun damage.

• Use a heat protector before using hot tools.

• Before swimming, dampen your hair and apply a generous amount of leave-in conditioner to protect your strands from harsh chlorine or sea salt.

• After swimming, use a clarifying shampoo followed up by a moisturizing deep conditioner for 15 min.

• Wash your hair brushes monthly! They collect dirt, dead skin and cause build-up that is not good for your hair and scalp.

• Leave your favorite conditioner in your hair for 3 to 5 min then rinse.

• Pre-book your appointments. It will help you and me to be consistent with your hair goal.

DON'TS

• Don't tie up or sleep with wet hair.

• Avoid rough drying with towels - gently squeeze for absorption of water.

• Avoid rough brushing

• Don't purchase drugstore products, these non-professionals products can cause chemical reactions while coloring your hair and can lead to dryness or irreversible damage. Non-professional hair care products are full of sulfates, silicones, and alcohol. Protect your hair and scalp.

• Don't use hot tools excessively.

• Don't shampoo your hair every day. (Consult with your stylist if you have any questions).

• Avoid buying fake hair products online. We recommend you research the seller, their policies and expiration date. Know the hallmarks of the real product you are purchasing.

• Avoid rough scalp scratching with your nails as it can lead to abrasions and weaken your hair follicles.

• Don’t twirl or pick at your split ends as it can create more split ends.

• Don’t color your hair at home especially if you’re currently blonde and want to go back to your natural hair color. Book a custom filler service or a consultation with a professional.

• Don’t avoid haircuts if you want your hair to grow full of life and vitality.
